Parents are encouraged to contact teachers with any questions or concerns.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Homework Procedures<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Although homework is posted daily on the Google classroom, it is the responsibility of the student to copy assignments accurately and completely into his\/her planner during the course of the school day.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">In Grade Five, these procedures will be in place:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Homework will be recorded on the board daily in each classroom.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\">Students will be allowed to check posted homework at the end of the day.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Grading Procedure<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">In Grade Five, these procedures will be in place:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Students will be given a numerical grade in all major subject areas.<\/li>\n<li>Students will receive a grade in Special Subject areas using a scale of \u201c1\u201d to \u201c4\u201d with \u201c4\u201d being the highest.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Service Project<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">This year the students in Grade Five will participate in a service project.\u00a0 Additionally, the students will participate in the parish Saint Vincent de Paul holiday food drives.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Discipline Procedures<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Each classroom seeks to foster the values of a Catholic, Christian community: reverence, kindness, courtesy, justice, respect, hospitality and cooperation.
