Volunteer Clearances & Training
For the safety of the children in our care, all volunteers at OLMC School are required to obtain certain clearances. Information and forms can be obtained using the links below.

State Clearance Requirements
1. PA Criminal Record Check
Who: All volunteers
Website: https://epatch.pa.gov/home
Instructions:
- Complete the online form.
- Print or save your certificate.
- Submit a copy to the School Office.
2. PA Child Abuse Clearance
Who: All volunteers
Website: https://www.compass.state.pa.us/cwis/public/home
Instructions:
- Complete the online application.
- Your certificate will be emailed within 3–4 days and mailed within 14 days.
- Submit a copy to the School Office.
3. FBI Federal Criminal History (Fingerprinting)
Who: Volunteers who have not lived in Pennsylvania for 10 consecutive years.

Steps:
- Register and pay online using the code above.
- Visit a fingerprinting site to submit fingerprints electronically.
- Upon receipt of clearance submit a copy to the office.
Who: Volunteers who have lived in PA for the past 10 years.

Archdiocesan Training Requirements
(Must be completed within 90 days of beginning volunteer service)
1. Safe Environment Training for Adults (Virtus)
Who: All Volunteers
Type: One-time, in-person or virtual training
Register at: https://www.virtusonline.org/virtus/
Registration Steps:
- Select First-Time Registrant → View List of Sessions.
- Choose Philadelphia, PA (Archdiocese).
- Select a date and location or virtual, then register.
- Upon completion submit the white copy of the two-part form to the School Office.
2. Mandated Reporter Training
Who: All Volunteers
Type: One-time, online training

Instructions:
- Click Register Now.
- Complete the Mandated Reporter Training course.
- Print your completion certificate and submit it to the School Office.
