Through its religious education program, OLMC School offers its students the opportunity to grow in their knowledge and love of God, to understand the teachings of the Church, and to increase the practice of virtue. This is accomplished through the example and instruction of the parish priests and our catechists and by providing a variety of spiritual experiences:
Daily sharing of prayer and reading of Scripture
Monthly celebration of Mass
Preparation for the Sacraments of Confirmation, First Penance and First Holy Communion
Prayer services for Peace Day, Ash Wednesday and May Crowning
Lenten devotion of Stations of the Cross
Participation in the Sacrament of Penance
Frequent donation of time and talent to service projects as individuals and classes
Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament
Commitment to the development of outstanding virtues and habits of heart
Study of Sacred Tradition of the Church
In this way, we encourage the involvement of our students in the life of the Church now and in the future.
